DNA kits can be ordered online and will include all the materials needed, including the swab to take a sample from. Standard shipping for United States customers is $9.95, and expedited shipping options are available.v Results take about 4-8 weeks to arrive after FamilyTreeDNA receives the DNA swab.
FamilyTreeDNA does not use third-party labs to process and store samples. All samples received are processed and stored in their state-of-the-art laboratory. A certified team of experts will undertake the testing process to deliver accurate results using the latest technology. FamilyTreeDNA uses the Illumina’s Global Screening Array and NovaSeq Sequencing System to genotype DNA and deliver results.

How Does it Work
